About Me

My photo
drdebyoung
I've been involved in video production since hanging out of helicopter shooting videotape during the Mt. St. Helen's eruption. I have had the honor of reporting on a number of national and international stories while stationed in Europe with the Armed Forces Network. As a former live television interview host, I have rubbed shoulders with the great and mighty and dealt with the everyday mundane issues of putting live shows on the air with little time, few people, and a small amount of resources. Teaching at EIU has been the icing on the cake. I hope all my students can have just a bit of the excitement in broadcasting and new media as I have in more than 30 years of involvement.
